Hello meet Brad

I am a husband, father and most importantly, son of God. I spent over 20 years doing ministry in churches, and now have moved to a new career but want to continue to create content for those who are serving on the front lines of ministry and often don't have time day-to-day to make resources. My background is an organizing program for young people and adults of all ages and I have taken this unique talent to create materials for children's liturgy.

My Story

A young Man from Cole Harbour followed his dreams. (No not Sydney) Hi my name is Brad MacKinnon.  I have been involved in ministry since 2002. Starting first in Dartmouth at Saint John XXIII as a Youth Volunteer with LIFE TEEN.  Then in 2004 I was hired as the Liturgical Coordinator and Youth Minister for Saint Theresa Church. With the help of many people, was one of founding father of LIFE TEEN Halifax in 2005 and spent the 7 yrs running the Sunday ministry.  The program moved to it’s home at STACM on the Saint Thomas Aquinas site. I moved home to Dartmouth and have work for Saint Clement as the Youth Minister since August 2011 establishing an Edge program and an Alpha Program. In 2014 I felt called to move again and return to Saint John XXIII. I have taken on the role of running youth ministry (such as the Edge and Youth Group) which became Life Teen upon it’s relaunch in Spring of 2015. In that time I was involved with Little Edge, Alpha, Liturgy, Baptism Prep but my heart and passion was always with young people. I joining the Senior Leadership Team at Divine Mercy Parish. My Last stop was at our Lady of Guadalupe parish in Dartmouth where I served as the Communication Coordinator and then Ministry Coordinator until April 2024.

My faith really came alive when I took a trip to Toronto for World Youth Day in 2002. from that moment on I knew I was called to be involved in ministry in the church and began to discern Gods will in my life. after time discerning the priesthood, I dedicated my life to youth ministry. willing to go anywhere in the world to become a Youth Minister I was pleasantly surprised to be sent here in Halifax to start LIFE TEEN at St. Theresa's. God even has been so great to me over 18 years of ministry giving me stops at St Clement, St. John XXIII, Divine Mercy Parish & Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish
